Fred Canada

Founder Fred Canada began his career as an apprentice for a large earth moving equipment manufacturer in the Midwest. He interrupted that career for a stint in the US Marines, and after serving, he returned to the Midwest where he became an office and facilities manager for Jostens, a scholastic products manufacturer. He later instituted a national distribution network for Jostens, installing tracking systems and training managers.

He was brought to Seattle in 1980 to act as production manager for Herff-Jones, a competitor of Jostens.

Fred made the leap into sales in his mid-forties, selling printing and graphics equipment and materials. He was recognized for achieving Top 10 national ranking three times in a seven-year period, twice finishing in the top five in a group of four hundred salespeople.

He is past owner of a commercial printing company in Seattle, as well as a mailbox/shipping concern.

He and wife Pat Detmer formed The Quincy Group in 2003 with a focus on providing operational advice to small businesses. That focus expanded to business brokering and other issues related to sales, mergers, and transitioning. Fred became a licensed Real Estate Broker as the company moved into the purchase, sale, and leasing of commercial properties.

Fred currently serves as a Volunteer Business Coach for Washington C.A.S.H. (Community Alliance For Self-Help) and sits on the Group Health Eastside Leader’s Advisory Board.
